Nick’s love for the Shark Rocket Vacuum led to his wish to go to SharkNinja headquarters in Boston. CEO Mark Rosenzweig and dozens of employees greeted Nick for his daylong tour, which included visits with the Industrial Design team and Engineering technicians. After lunch, Nick starred in an informercial taping with Rosenzweig as his co-host.

John is a history buff who plays drums.

The teen from Anchorage traveled across America to be a drummer in a Revolutionary War reenactment. John chose Massachusetts because it is “where it all began."

On a rainy and windy morning, John marched and played for more than two miles with dozens of Acton, Lexington and Concord Minutemen.

A ukulele dream comes true

While receiving treatments at a clinic, Celine fell in love with singing while playing the ukulele. She wished to visit Hawaii, where the ukulele was born.

Celine toured a factory to see firsthand the craft that goes into creating each instrument and, after her tour, she was surprised with a live performance by a few of her ukulele idols.

Wish kid grows up to become doctor


Dr. Jen Pratt was 11 when an X-ray revealed her knee pain was being caused by a form of bone cancer growing in her femur.

“Rather than being just a kid, I was forced into a world of doctor appointments, scans, hospitalizations, and surgeries,” Jen says.

Now a pediatrician specializing in inpatient care, Jen says her time in the hospital as a child makes her a better doctor today.

Heart patient visits the doctors who saved his life

Collin, a heart patient from Hawaii, had a chance to go wherever he wanted for his Make-A-Wish experience, and he chose to travel to San Diego to meet the doctors who saved his life.

The wish was not only a reunion at Rady Children’s Hospital, but also a celebration of Collin’s birthday – he turned 12-years-old two days after arriving.

The students at Eagle Valley High School hoped to raise $5,000 to send 7-year-old Scarlett on her wish. By the end of “Wish Week,” the students, teachers and staff had collected enough money to grant several more wishes for local kids who’ve been diagnosed with a critical illness.

When a team of villains captured oncologist Dr. Lauren Akers, only one person could stop them: Super Aiden.

The 7-year-old spent his day fighting bad guys, rescuing people, and putting out an airplane fire. His mom was not surprised by her son’s wish. “He didn’t let cancer beat him,” she said, “He was a hero for real. It makes sense to be doing what we’re doing for him.”
