Dakota's greenhouse grows

Dakota's greenhouse

“ And his excitement lifts the spirits of everyone around him. ”

Dakota, known as Cody to his family and friends, continually thinks of others before himself, even as he battles cancer. His wish: he wanted to combine his love for the outdoors with something that would have a positive effect on others.

He wished for a greenhouse of his own to see plants and vegetables grow from a seed into something amazing. With his own hands he could grow a gift for his entire community. Dakota's greenhouse

Make-A-Wish® volunteers and some great friends came together to create Cody’s wish. Stan’s Garden Center and Luke’s Greenhouse donated plants and seeds and Ace Hardware donated planting tables. The volunteers assemble the greenhouse and with every piece Cody’s smile widens. And his excitement lifts the spirits of everyone around him.

Today, with the greenhouse completed, Cody will take his wish one step further.  He plans to sell the plants and vegetables to raise money for Make-A-Wish. He wants to help grant empowering wish experiences for other wish kids and share the power of a wish®.

He has always been a very caring child. This is his way of paying it forward. ”
